The Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) online analyzer is a new generation of fully automatic COD online analyzer based on the Chinese national standard method - potassium dichromate oxidation method. This product is a maintenance free online monitoring instrument launched by Suzhou Juyang Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. on the basis of years of research on water quality analysis products. Through the oxidation-reduction reaction inside the mixed solution formed by water sample, potassium dichromate, silver sulfate (as a catalyst to oxidize linear aliphatic compounds more fully) and concentrated sulfuric acid under high temperature and high pressure environment, Cr (VI) in the solution is reduced to Cr (III), resulting in a change in the color of the mixed solution. The degree of color change of the solution corresponds to the chemical oxygen demand (COD) of the water sample. The instrument can directly measure the COD value of the water sample through photoelectric colorimetry. The chloride ions in the water sample are the main interfering substances, and COD-1040 can eliminate the interference of chlorine by adding mercuric chloride to complex the chloride ions in the water sample.
